Jean C. Freeman-King, age 88, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. She was born on December 15, 1931 in Dallas, GA, to her late parents; Rev. CR Campbell and Julia Campbell. Jean worked as an elementary school teacher for Hiram Elementary School for over 40 years and was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly by her family and friends. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her beloved former husband of 42 years, Joe Freeman, her sister, Ivanette Rose and brother, Wendell Campbell.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harlow King of Dallas, GA, step son, Philip King and his wife, Laura of Tyrone, GA, step daughter, Deborah Bishop and her husband, David of Woodstock, GA, brother, Harris Campbell and his wife, Doris of Dallas, GA, sister, Margie Adair and her husband, Harold of Oak Ridge, TN, brother in law, Hugh Rose of Dallas, GA, sister in law, Delores Ledbetter and her husband, Loye of Dawsonville, GA, step granddaughter, Elizabeth Bishop and many nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service for Mrs. Jean Freeman-King will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tony Campbell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; Philip King, David Bishop, Jerry Campbell, Alan Campbell, Joshua Lairsey and Kyle Campbell. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 restrictions.
