Jennifer Brock Goss Stump passed away on January 9, 2023. She was born on October 8, 1974 to Quillian and Wanda Brock. Jennifer Lynn Brock, was born in Mableton and lived most of her life in Dallas, Georgia. She was Christian Faith based and a multi-talented spirit who prayed for the grace of God daily. As a mother of three, she loved her children Shayne Goss, Christopher Stump, and Jeremy Stump (and we can't forget about her dog Haley) with all of her being. Jennifer constantly told her children to have the courage to "Follow your dreams," no matter how scary it seems. She lived to see her kids follow through, she would never let them quit, was always there to cheer and was so proud of her children's accomplishments.
Jennifer loved her family, friends and always went the extra mile to bring a smile and lend an ear to those who were in need. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant with a passion for helping the elderly and those suffering from mental illness. Jennifer worked with faith based organizations in and out of the church in which she lifted up others in the hardest times of their lives. As a hopeless romantic would, she had a deep appreciation for the arts of all genres. She dabbled in every art form imaginable. Music being the language of the spirit, she was an inspired writer of lyrical poetry, a storyteller and the funniest person you have ever met.
Other than celebrating her children, Jennifer was most proud that she had the courage to put herself out in the world in her late teens and early twenties to model and do acting work and even landed a cameo in the '96 TV Soap Opera, Savannah. She loved to read and study periods in history such as the Victorian Era and enjoyed stepping into another place in time through books and film, such as one of her favorites, Gone with the Wind. From a young child, she was obsessed with the beauty, discipline and grace of ice skating (even if it was pretending on vinyl records on the kitchen floor). So, naturally she was always ready for an adventure as she danced, skated, planted flowers, painted, crafted gifts for friends & family, and never ran out of jokes to crack in the most inappropriate times to just make you laugh when you needed it most. She would also never miss the opportunity to sing with you, even if it was out of key. Just like the Christ Heart, if Jennifer loved you in one moment, it means she will love you forever.
Jennifer is survived by her parents, Quillian Eugene Brock and Wanda Elaine Brock; her three children, Christopher James Stump, Jeremy Nicholas Stump, and Ashley Shayne Goss; her brother, Bryan Edward Brock; her sister, Gina Marie Brock; three nephews; and one great niece. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Billy Lawrence Otwell and Ruth Puckett Otwell; and her paternal grandparents, Charles Elbert Brock Jr. and Ruby Weaver Brock.
