Jerry Saunderson, Sr.

Jerry Saunderson, Sr. age 84, of Acworth, GA., passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born on September 29, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY. to the late Robert and Beulah Saunderson. Mr. Saunderson worked as Machinist for Lockheed Martin for over 20 years and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.  He loved watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed trains with his passion being steel locomotives. Another thing he loved was Christmas time, he would start decorating the day after Halloween. Jerry was a joker and loved to play tricks and jokes on everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his 7 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Jerry and Melinda Saunderson, his brother, Gene Saunderson, sisters; Ruth Sumner, Rachel Gracy, Edith Forsyth, Bea Linton, grandchildren; Andrew, Miranda, Victoria and Nicholas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Saunderson will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM from The Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Dobrowolski officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
