Jerrye Garmon

Jerrye Faye Garmon, age 73, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016. She was born on February 25, 1943, in Dallas, GA, to the late John Calvin Rakestraw, Sr. & Irene Thompson Rakestraw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Owen. Mrs. Garmon was retired from the Douglas County Probate Court, where she worked for over 25 years. She was also a member at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Garmon of Douglasville, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Stacy Garmon of Douglasville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Shelley & Bryan Scoggins of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Connie Garmon of Douglasville, GA; brother & sister-in-law, John Calvin & Mary Rakestraw of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
In accordance to Mrs. Garmon’s wishes, her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be announced by the family at a later date.
