Jessie Lavina Quick

Jessie Quick passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born on June 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Charles and Lavina Wilfong in Marietta, OH. She worked as a Bookkeeper for over 50 years. Jessie was a 5th generation quilter. She won many awards for her quilting. Jessie was selected to make and present a quilt to the representatives of the country of Norway during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA. Jessie was a musician and singer. She sang in church and sang backup for Buck Owens. Jessie was a member of the country/gospel band, Dixie Renegades.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Homer Quick; two sons, Robert Groves (Ann), Samuel Groves (Lori); two daughters, Rebecca Davis (Brent), Sherrilee Schleining (William);

A graveside service for Jessie will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Ken Hennessey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jessie's honor to Union Grove Baptist Church.
