Jewell Proctor, age 89, of Rockmart (Paulding, Co.), passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012. She was born on February 26, 1923, in Rockmart, GA, to the late Jim & Lily Forsyth, and was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Proctor; brothers, Hubert Forsyth, Hurley Forsyth, and Ernest Forsyth; sisters, Ellen Holmes Miller and Velma Hulsey Clove. Mrs. Proctor retired from Paulding Hospital where she had 20 plus years of service.
Survivors include son, Tommy Proctor, JR, of Rockmart; a very close friend to the family, Amy Stover of Dallas; sister, Lillian Thornton of Rockmart; grandchildren; Todd & Nikki Proctor of Dallas, Steve Proctor of Dallas, and Lee & Karen Proctor of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Tyler Proctor of Dallas, Stephanie Proctor of Dallas; Scott & Dana Proctor of Bethesda, Maryland, and Amanda & William Gossett of Bainbridge, GA; great-great-grandchildren, Savannah Grace and Cora Jewell of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 1 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Andy Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery. Steve Proctor, Scott Proctor, Lee Proctor, William Gossett, Todd Proctor and Tyler Proctor will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 30, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a church of choice in Mrs. Proctor’s family.
