Jimmy Chambers, age 66, of Temple, GA (Paulding County), passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was born in Canton, GA, December 23, 1946, and was preceded in death by his father, Grady Herbert Chambers & mother, Gladys Willeen Kilgore Chambers. Mr. Chambers was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been a truck driver for Rhoades Furniture and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of almost 43 years, Elaine Shelton Chambers; daughters & sons-in-law, Adeana Elaine Shoemaker & husband, Paul of Lilburn, GA and Angela Chambers Leonard & husband, Mitch of Temple, GA; adopted daughter, Carie Reeves & husband, Ken of Cartersville, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jerry Lee Chambers & wife, Joyce of Dawsonville, GA and Reverend Grady Leonard Chambers & wife, Sheila Ann of Dallas, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Dianne Rackley & husband, Reverend Lamar Rackley of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Zachary Jordan, Sarah Jordan, Lisa Jordan, Tori Leonard, Adam Shoemaker and David Shoemaker; adopted grandson, Andrew Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 2:30 PM, from Georgia National Cemetery, with Reverend Lamar Rackley and Reverend Leonard Chambers officiating. Tim Rackley, Brian Rackley, Micah Chambers, Jessie Lawrence, Mitch Leonard and Paul Shoemaker will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Clark Funeral Home for Jimmy’s funeral expenses.
Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.
