On Saturday, August 6, 2011, Jimmy Donehoo, age 63, of Dallas, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long terminal illness. He was a highly respected and well-known drummer and antique car enthusiast. He retired from the City of Atlanta Water Department after 25 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Our heartfelt thanks to Long Leaf Hospice.
Survivors include, wife of 39 years, Brenda Donehoo of Dallas; daughter, Buffy Donehoo of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Tosha & Wayne Watson of Marietta; son, Mark Donehoo of Powder Springs; sister, Brenda Zimmerman of Marietta; brother-in-law, Neal Lee of Marietta; grandchildren, Jacob Donehoo of Dallas, Miranda Donehoo of Powder Springs, Morgan Donehoo of Powder Springs, and Jessica Donehoo of Powder Springs; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
