Joan Bell

Joan Bell, 77, of Aragon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born September 15, 1947, in Adairsville, Georgia, to Bill and Pearl Ray, she embodied warmth and light throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Joan was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 59 years, Billy Bell, with whom she shared a beautiful life for many years. She was the cherished mother of three: Mike Bell (Dana), Richie Bell (Linda), and Rebecca Day (Monty). Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Sarah Fuller (Branden), Ashlee Dellorso (Austin), Malachi Bell (Ashlyn), Micah Bell (Destiny), Makayla Bell, Makenna Bell, Drew Day (Katlyn), and Emily Day, as well as her great-grandchildren, Chloe Fuller, Isaac Fuller, and Caleb Fuller. Joan is also survived by her loving siblings, Frank Ray (Alice), Dot Knight, Bernice Campbell, and Theresa Bell (Jerry).

A longtime member of Wayside Baptist Church, Joan dedicated over 50 years as a pastor's wife, exemplifying grace, kindness, and unwavering faith. She had a special place in her heart for her church community and was a strong supporter of the Good Samaritan Baptist Mission, where she served as a dedicated secretary. Joan's life was characterized by her devotion to her family and her extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome-she truly never met a stranger. With a reputation as the best prayer partner, she uplifted those around her with her deep faith and compassion. It can also be said that Joan lived for her grandchildren.

The funeral service to honor Joan's remarkable life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, 1:00 pm at Sam Clark Chapel with Preachers Mike Bell, Pastor Branden Fuller, Pastor Steve Arrowood, and Malachi Bell officiating.
