Joan Harter, age 80, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was born on September 19, 1936, in England, to the late William Guy & Eliza Broadwood, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Harter Jr., her sister, Audrey Broadwood, and brother, Melvin Broadwood. Mrs. Harter was a member of Living Hope Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Jean & Bill Murphy of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Francis Murphy of Brooklyn, NY, and Kayleigh Audri Murphy of Acworth, GA.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 1:30 PM, from GA National Cemetery, with Pastor Daniel Hoover officiating. Family and friends are invited for a celebration of her birthday and life following the graveside service at Bill & Dianne Murphy’s home, 1502 Fallsbrook Place, Acworth, GA 30101, it will themed “All things Tea”.
