Joanetta Borders

Joanetta "Joanie" Borders passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. She was born on January 14, 1966, the Daughter of the late James “Jimmy” Adkins Jr. and Elaine Gillespie Adkins in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Ms. Joanie worked at Buddy’s of Dallas, GA. as a Cashier for over 20+ years and had hundreds of customers that were like extended family.

Joanetta enjoyed her family and all her Buddy’s friends. Even when she could not work any longer, she, kept up with everyone she could. Any person she encountered said she was the “sweetest” person they had ever met.

Joanetta is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Karen Adkins (infant) and Connie Vanhoose.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 40 years, Kenneth Borders; 3 sons, Christopher and Keely Borders of Dallas, GA, Jason and Christine Borders of Rockmart, GA., and Jonathan Borders of Dallas, GA.; one brother, Jamie Adkins of Tennessee, 3 sisters, Demeta Adkins, Shaey Adkins May, and Polly Justice of Kentucky; 5 grandchildren, Cannon Cash Borders, Elam Walker Borders, Eleia Dyllan Borders, Romeo Jamel Gatica, and Vensent Alexander Jerles.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on December 9th from 2 PM until 6 PM.
