Joe C. Paris, age 84, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. He was born June 1, 1929, in Charlotte, NC, and was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clinton Paris, Sr. & Jeanette Morris Paris, and his wife, Bertha Mitchell Paris. Mr. Paris was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Coast Guard. He retired from CSX Railroad as a detective and was a member of Dallas First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, Paul Paris of Dallas, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Linda Paris Williamson & husband, Murray of Douglasville, GA; sister, Betty Paris Atkins of Marietta, GA; grandson, Clinton M. Williamson; one niece; two nephews; and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. Ken Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
