John Kuykendoll

John F. Kuykendoll, age 85, of Douglasville (Paulding County), passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010. He was born on March 28, 1924, in Woodstock, GA, to the late John Daniel & Louvennie Kuykendoll. Mr. Kuykendoll was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. He retired from Lockheed after 35 years as a master painter and was a pastor for 2 years at Gateway Baptist Church.
Survivors include, wife of 66 years, Louise Dunn Kuykendoll of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, James Daniel & Andrea Kuykendoll of Douglasville, John William & Heather Kuykendoll of Bremen, Roy Allen & Jackie Kuykendoll of Tallapoosa, Donnie Lee & Christi Kuykendoll of Powder Springs, and Charles Gerald Kuykendoll of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Martha & Lamar Bonds of Hiram; sisters and brothers-in-law, Flossie Campbell of Tallapoosa, Laura Jane & Bill Edwards of Douglasville, Essie Jo Hurlbert of California, Bessie Mae Shuler of Tallapoosa, and Harriett & Bobby Pope of Griffin; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Hall Smith and Reverend Jimmy Elzey officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 25, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
