John L. "Kojak" Vaughn, Jr.

John L. “Kojak” Vaughn, Jr. 79, of Dallas, GA passed away on August 21, 2020, at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1941 in Cartersville, GA.

Mr. Vaughn worked in construction and was employed by Akin Grading Company for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his son John Wesley Vaughn of Dallas and his daughter Mary Gannaway and her husband Jeff of Birmingham, AL, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris L. Munsey Vaughan; his parents John L. Vaughn Sr. and Elizabeth Hamrick Vaughn; and his sister, Harriett Spencer.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Long officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home prior to the service from noon until the time of the service.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Vaughn safe.
