John Everett Wigley, age 87, of Dallas, GA, passed away, Sunday, August 12, 2012. He was born in Dallas, GA, March 15, 1925, and was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Everett Wigley & Minnie Viola Folsom Wigley, son, Billy Earl Wigley, and sisters, Doris Wigley and Nora Mae Souder. Mr. Wigley was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Lockheed as a machinist after 34 years and was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Edna E. Wigley; children, Reverend Everett H. Wigley & wife, Martha of Dallas, GA, Ron & Linda Craig of Douglasville, GA, Charles & Rita Brooks of Dallas, GA, Mark & Susan Wigley of Acworth, GA, Brett & Renee’ Wigley of Dallas, GA and Kenneth & Joy Fennell of Dallas, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Lee & Marie Wigley of Dallas, GA, and Bud & Lillian Wigley of Dallas, GA; sister, Hazel Hardin of Carrollton, GA; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. James Cook and Reverend Jason Loudermilk officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, with Glenn Wigley, Cody Brooks, Kevin Conway, Erk Welch, Brandon Wigley and Shane Bonds serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
