Johnny Dowling, age 55, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. He was born on December 10, 1960, in Atlanta, GA, to the late William Manium Dowling and Ada Jo Dowling Kelley. Mr. Dowling was currently working in maintenance at Thornton Road Kia and had previously worked at Bill Heard Chevrolet on Barrett Parkway and Magnum Collision in Kennesaw. Johnny enjoyed NASCAR racing and riding around the mountains of North Georgia.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Lisa Dowling of Powder Springs, GA; sisters, Robyn & Terry Morgan of Talking Rock, GA, and Elaine & Frank Parker of Moultrie, GA; father and mother-in-law, John & Martha Minielly of Austell, GA; sister-in-law, Frances Minielly of Austell, GA; brother-in-law, Jim & Kathy Minielly of Dallas, GA; uncle, Robert & Debra Turner of Talking Rock, GA; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Brad Fain officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
