Johnny Wadsworth

Johnny Wadsworth, age 73, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1946 to his late parents; Roy and Anne Wadsworth. Johnny was the previous owner of Hamby Commercial Waste. Mr. Wadsworth was a member of Leland Masonic Lodge #686 and he had taught welding at Atlanta Technical School for 5 years. Johnny loved a good construction challenge and never said no to any project that came his way! Mr. Wadsworth was a loving husband, father, brother, PaPa, and uncle who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Louise and Gordon Hamby.

Mr. Wadsworth is survived by his loving wife, Sue Hamby Wadsworth of Hiram, GA, son, John Wadsworth Jr. of Dallas, GA, daughter, Cindy Hardison and her husband, Brian of Dallas, GA, brothers; Michael Wadsworth and his wife, Lydia of Hiram, GA, Alan Wadsworth and his wife, Susan of Port Lucie, FL, sister, Mary Ann Little, grandchildren; Katherine Hardison, John W. Wadsworth III “Johnny”, Jared Wadsworth, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wadsworth will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the state’s Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time) If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Wadsworth safe.
