Reid Meek

Jon Reid Meek, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1954, in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of Thomas Irvin and Jean Yancey Meek. Reid loved his sail boat and playing guitar. He enjoyed playing guitar with his grandson and sailing the blue waters of the Caribbean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Irvin (Jean Yancey) Meek.

He is survived by his brothers, Mr. Thomas (Sibyl) Irvin Meek Jr., Mr. Steve (Melissa "Lisa") Meek, his son, Jon Shannon (Lisa) Meek, and his grandchildren Jon and Sarah "Lizzy" Meek. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:30 AM.
