Joseph L. Galloway, JR., age 35, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012. He was born on July 22, 1976, in Darlington, South Carolina, and was the son of Joseph Leonard Galloway, SR, and Katherine Jean Kelley. Mr. Galloway was a member of West Ridge Church and was employed since 1995 by Pruitt Construction as a heavy equipment operator. Joseph was the in the graduating class of 1995 from Sprayberry High School and played football, winning the Coca Cola Award and Vince Lombardi Award.
Survivors include his sons, which were his heart, Joseph Leonard Galloway, III, of Marietta, and Robert William Galloway of Marietta; father, Joseph Leonard Galloway, SR, of Hinesville, GA; mother, Katherine Jean Kelley of Dallas; maternal grandmother, Jeannie Kelley of Rock Hills, South Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angel & Alan Watts of Dallas, Regina and Roberto Najera of Dallas, Rhonda Ann Galloway of Woodstock, and Katherine Joette & Robert Mcever of Dallas; fiancé, Pamela Allen of Rockmart; five nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11 a.m., from West Ridge Church, with Pastor Rodney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. Alan Watts, Ashley Watts, Robert Mcever, Jonathan Wratten, John Collins, Shaun Galloway and Josh Callahan will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
