Joseph Robert Hanlin, age 72, passed away on May 28, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1949, to his late parents, Joseph Adair and Bobby Sue Hanlin. Joseph was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and deep-sea diving. He enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys and Ga Tech football teams. Mr. Hanlin was notably known for his three tours in Vietnam and as a retired Sgt. Major. He retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives after more than 20 years of employment.
Joseph is survived by Joan Hanlin; his daughters, Jessica Hanlin and Megan Hanlin; sister, Skyla (Jeff) Johnson; grandchildren, Jacob Cohran, Emily Rosen Kranz, and Mason Espenoza; and niece, Madlyn Sorrell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home with a graveside service directly following at 3:30 PM at West Minster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 concerns.
