Judge Arthur Wolfe Fudger, age 83, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was born on November 1, 1933, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late William & Mary Fudger. Judge Fudger was a United States Air Force veteran, retired in 1998 as a Superior Court Judge for Paulding County Judicial System, and was a member of Dallas First United Methodist Church. He served as president of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and was president elect when Jimmy Carter visited the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Judge Fudger spent many years working with the Boy Scouts of Paulding County. He was a member of the Civitan Club, volunteer for the community, past Sunday School Teacher and Usher at First United Methodist Church of Dallas and was a proud Alumni of Georgia Tech.
Survivors includes wife of 48 years, Joanne Wright Fudger of Dallas, GA; sons, Chris & Amy Fudger of Marietta, GA and Lee & Mary Catherine Fudger of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Maryanne Drake of Alexandria, VA; step-sister, Courtney & Bud Thurman of FT Mitchell, KY; grandchildren, Matthew Fudger, Laura Fudger, Thomas Fudger, and Samuel Fudger; nieces, Donna Drake and Kim Drake; and nephew Steve Drake.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Steve Schofield, Reverend Warren Huddleston and Judge Bill Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Henry Wood, Bill Woods, Jack Bickford, Jack Waldrep,JR, John Henderson, George Barber, Rusty Durham and Jim Talley will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
