Judson "Robert" Ritch, age 90 of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on June 13, 2022. He was born on April 14, 1932 to the late H.C and Louise Ritch. He was married to the former Phyllis Davenport for 66 years. Robert graduated from Hiram High School and attended Young Harris College before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served for three years during the Korean War. After his military service he enrolled in Southern Tech and graduated with a degree in electronics and communications. His career was in the independent telephone industry and eventually, he formed his own consulting firm. Robert was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and as a member of the mission team. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and working on puzzles. He loved traveling and visiting his favorite place, The Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Robert was a man of integrity, humility and honesty. He adored his family and he will be so missed.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Louise Ritch. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Ritch; children, Beverly (Danny) Holland and Robby (Caroline) Ritch; grandchildren, Joseph Holland and Kaitlin Ritch; brother, Harvey (Jimmie) Ritch and Marvin (Lorraine) Ritch.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral Services for Mr. Ritch will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2:00pm with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Mr. Ritch's honor towards the Bethel Cemetery Trust Fund.
