June Carolyn Kimbril, age 81, of Hampton, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. She was born on February 16, 1935, in Dallas, GA, to the late Wylie & Florence Prewett, and was raised in the New Hope Community. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kimbril was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Partain and Sara Camp; and brothers George Prewett and Felton Prewett. June worked for Mead Products as a bookkeeper for over 40 years. She was affectionately referred to as Maw-Maw June by her family, was a devoted Christian and an active member of McDonough Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Lee Kimbril; daughter, Vickie & Dago Tibbitts of Dallas, GA; step-daughters, Jan & Kent Sears of Suwanee, GA, Donna Landress of Cumming, GA, and Carol & Razor Coffey of Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Jason & Leslie Tibbitts, Kip Tibbitts & Tracey Olson, Matthew & Lesleigh Sears, Kaylee & Keith Davis, Kensie & Eli Arnold, Carson Sears, Mallory Sears, Madison Sears, Tiffany & Ryan Stephens, Johnathon Bennett, Michelle & Stephen Hamilton, Nickki Bennett, and Kimbrilly Bennett; great-grandchildren, Dustin Tibbitts, Keeley Tibbitts, Andrew Baxter, Easton Sears, Madaket Sears, Ryeland Davis, Sawyer Arnold, Huck Stephens, Gage Bennett, Natalie Bennett, and Preston Bennett; sister, Mary Kennedy of Dallas, GA, and Pat Pitts of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor David Chancey and Reverend Todd Tibbitts officiating. Eulogies were given by Carol Coffey and Jan Sears. Jason Tibbitts, Kip Tibbitts, Dustin Tibbitts, Matthew Sears, Carson Sears, Johnathon Bennett served as pallbearers. Keith Davis, Ryan Stephens and Stephen Hamilton served as honorary pallbearers. Music was performed by Papa’s Prayer, Ryan Stephens, Kaylee Davis, Johnathon Bennett and Kimbrilly Bennett. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
