Katherine Morris

Katherine "Kathy" Melinda Morris, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on January 13, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Clarence and Betty Thomason, Kathy lived a life filled with simple joys and profound love.

Kathy found happiness in the little things-whether it was crocheting, attending Faith Community Church, curling up with a good book, or enjoying her favorite Hallmark movies. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Kathy's life was a testament to finding beauty in everyday moments and embracing each day with a heart full of love.

She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Thomason, and her devoted husband of over 44 years, Ronnie Morris. Kathy's legacy continues through her mother, Betty Thomason; her son, Derek (Brittany) Morris; her daughter, Melissa (Alex) Paye; her brother, Gene Thomason; her sister, Lynn (Wiley) Campbell; and her treasured grandchildren, Declan Morris, Ryder Morris, Kat Paye, and Xander Paye. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Lee Ann (Keith) Barker and Deanna Morris, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Faith Community Church in Dallas, Georgia. A celebration of Kathy's life will follow at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Freeman and Pastor Chris Pavlovsky officiating. Kathy's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
