Mr. Kenneth Donald "Bud" Hammond, age 75, of LaGrange, passed away on August 18, 2015 at the West Georgia Health. Mr. Hammond was born in Covington, Georgia to the late Luther Washington Hammond and Syble Louise Adcock Hammond. Upon graduation from Mercer University, he practiced as a Pharmacist and would become the owner of Hiram Drugs.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann McCurry Bryant Hammond of LaGrange; son, Stephen Hammond and his wife Angie of Adairsville; sisters, Betty Akins of Powder Springs, Janice Hammond of Dallas and Beverly Simmons of Douglasville; grandchildren, Ansley Hammond and Adisson Hammond; step children, Jody Neighbors and her husband Randy of Hogansville and Richard Bryant and his wife Sonja of LaGrange; step grandchildren, Nikki Hickman, Trae Bryant, Maggie Bryant, Zach Neighbors; step great grandchildren, Kole and Dylan; extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with Rev. John Moore officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 on Friday in LaGrange, GA. An additional visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-9 pm at the Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia with a graveside service on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Paulding Memorial Gardens.
