Larry Richard Cox, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on August 8, 1948, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Roosevelt "Velton" Cox and the late Rose Kendrick Cox. Larry lived a life rich with love, faith, and family.

Larry dedicated many years to his work as a parts salesman in the automobile parts industry, where he excelled as a dedicated professional. His life was defined not only by his career but also by his passions and connections with those he loved. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting trips with his brothers and had a passion for collecting firearms. Alongside his devoted wife, Joy, Larry cultivated a collection of coins that brought them great joy. Larry was known for his passion for photography. He had a remarkable talent for capturing life's perfect moments.

A man of profound faith, Larry held his love for Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of his life. He was passionate about sharing his faith with others, eager to share the joy and peace he found in the Lord.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Janette Rebecca Cox Perez; twin grandsons, Nathaniel and Nicolas Cox; his siblings: Lowell Cox, Jessie Matthews, Bessie Cochran, Bill Cox, Sara Williams, Dean Gardner, and Gladys Cox.

Larry is survived by his cherished wife of 55 years, Joy M. Hicks Cox; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shanda Cox; his grandson, James Cox; several nieces and nephews.

His absence will be felt deeply by family and friends, who will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Sam Clark Chapel with Reverend Stan Krebs officiating. Larry's service will also be live streamed from Larry's obituary page found on www.samclarkfuneralhome.com.

Burial will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia.
