Larry McIntyre, age 70, of Marietta, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012. The son of the late, Everett Lawrence McIntyre, Sr. and
the late, Dorothy Louise McIntyre, he was born May 1, 1942, in Brockton, MA. Mr. McIntyre served in the U. S. Air Force and he was a member of Bartlett Lodge #139. He was a former vice president of TRAA and a former spokesperson of the year for the Cape Cod Jaycees in Dennis, MA. Mr. McIntyre was the owner of Cumberland Wrecker, a towing business, for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Louise McIntyre; children, Larry & Arden McIntyre of Dallas, GA, Jeff & Laura McIntyre of Douglasville, GA, Annette & Joseph Gunter of Dallas, GA, Lonnie & Penny White of Dallas, GA, Robbie & Sonya White of Jasper, GA, John Paul Nix of Dallas, GA, Joseph & Amanda Nix of Auburn, GA and Cindy Horney of Arkansas; brothers, Sydney & Patricia McIntyre of Cartersville, GA, Jimmy McIntyre of Cherokee, NC, Michael McIntyre of Massachusetts and John McIntyre of Smyrna, GA; sisters, Mary Ellen & Rynie Alwardt of Massachusetts, Faye & Gary Rosati of Massachusetts and Alice Langenbacher of Kingston, NC; twenty-nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; cousin, Eddie Yourell, of Massachusetts; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 9, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
