Launa Huff, age 89, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Tranquility at Cobb. She was born on December 28, 1930 in Dallas, GA, to her late parents; Odis and Mae Henderson. Mrs. Huff was retired from Paulding Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a nurse for 20 years. Launa was a faithful member of New Canaan Baptist Church. Mrs. Huff loved to cook and was very talented in the kitchen. She loved her family and her church, they were her life. Launa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, James T. Huff, her second husband, Harold Rainwater, 2 brothers; Glen Henderson, Freddy Henderson, and 2 sisters; Madge Puckett and Doris Thomas.
Mrs. Huff is survived by her children; Kenneth Huff and his wife, Leslie of Powder Springs, GA, Steve Huff and his wife, Debby of Marietta, GA, David Huff and his wife, Karen of Dallas, GA, John Huff and his wife, Rosila of Dallas, GA, Julie Huff Ballentine of Hiram, GA, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 3 on the way. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Huff will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 3:00 PM at New Canaan Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Huff and Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Bryan Ragsdale, Kyle Huff, Brent Huff, Matt Huff, Brad Huff, and Stephanie Camp. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Please note that the family of Mrs. Huff requests that if attending the funeral or visitation, that a mask or face covering be worn to help prevent the spread of any possible illnesses and to keep Mrs. Huff's family and friends safe.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in loving memory of Mrs. Huff.
