Laurie Brown, age 43, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008. She was born on March 30, 1964, in Cobb County, GA. Her mother, Stella Amelia Hass, preceded her in death. She had worked as a waitress.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny D. Brown of Dallas; father, Tommy Atkins of Savannah; sons & daughter-in-law, Anthony Atkins & wife, Stacy of Cartersville, Adam Skelton of Cartersville, and Robbie Skelton of Dallas; daughters, Anna Skelton of Snellville, and Kristen Brown of Alabama; sister & brother-in-law, Joan Croft & husband, Bobby of Jasper; grandmother, Ethel Gill of Acworth; and grandchildren, Austin Atkins, Hunter Atkins, and Noah Atkins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 3:00pm, Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Ricky Bice officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Johnny Brown, Adam Skelton, Van Brown, Tony Atkins, Tim Ogles, and Earl Skelton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00am until the service time.
