Linda (Bishop) Carman

October 12, 1949 — January 21, 2021

Linda Bishop Carman, 71, of Smyrna, GA passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Wellstar Kennestone. She was born on October 12, 1949, in Griffin, GA to the late Edward and Lovie Miller Bishop. She was Baptist and was retired from AT&T after 30 years.

She is survived by her children Scott (Kristen) Carman of Douglasville and Jennifer (Matt) Mullinax of Austell; one sister, Susan Brumfield of Smyrna; grandchildren: Brady Carman, Brant Carman, Tyler (Julia) Mullinax, Gracie Mullinax, Annie Ruth Mullinax, and Mollie Mullinax.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carman was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Carman.

A graveside service will be held at Sweetwater Memorial Cemetery, 4614 Hiram Douglasville Hwy., Hiram, GA 30141, on Sunday, January 24 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Billy Wood officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Tyler Mullinax, Brant Carman, Brady Carman, and Michael Dycus, Stacy Hindmon, and Tracy Hindmon. Family and friends who wish to attend the service should meet at the cemetery as there will be no procession from the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend due to Covid concerns. If attending the service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Carman safe.
