Linda Jacquez

Linda Gail Jacquez, age 72, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. She was born on March 20, 1942, in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by her father, Warren Wilson. Linda lived in South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Alaska, Kentucky, Alabama, California, and Oklahoma, returning to Georgia her final years.

Due to military assignments for either her father, Warren C. Wilson, or her husband, Bernard L. Jacquez, Linda’s international residences and vacations included Greece, Libya, France, Panama, Vietnam and Hawaii.

Linda’s varied employment included a secretary position for the astronauts of the Gemini/Mercury/Apollo programs while at Edwards AFB in California, a Christian radio personality, secretary at Chico State (CSUC) and administrative assistant at Intregris Hospital in Yukon, OK.

Graduating from Azusa Pacific University of California, Linda loved history, studying music appreciation. Linda showed off her theatrical talents during her lifetime with many performances of acting and/or singing, teaching her children to enjoy the old classic musicals and films. Interested in anything and everything, she learned Spanish late in life and read books on golf and football so she could participate in every conversation. She was talented in arts, crafts and painting.

Survivors include son, Jonathan Jacquez of New York; daughter and son-in-law, Juanita & Timothy Holland of Oklahoma; mother, Alice Rosine Wilson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris Wilson of FL, Gary & Bonnie Wilson of CA, Larry & Pam Wilson of CA, and Don Wilson of CA; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia & Mike Beisel of HI; grandchildren, Topher Holland and Jason Holland; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brad Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in Marietta City Cemetery. Linda will be interred beside her beloved grandparents, Will S Cox & Vera B. Cox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The family has asked that no flowers be sent and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America at www.pva.org, or to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org
