Linda K. (Sobecki) Lee

Linda K. Lee, 75, passed away on February 14, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1947 to the late Wallace and Althea Sobecki in Michigan City, Indiana. Linda was a school teacher for over 20 years. Before retiring she worked at Douglas County School District as a kindergarten teacher. Linda was voted the most outstanding teacher and was requested multiple times by parents to teach their children. Linda was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church and was a woman of God. She had a ministry at a nursing home in Bremen where she took care of the men and women there. Linda's family meant the world to her. She loved her four children and was a devoted wife of over 50 years. She was incredible and will be dearly missed.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Althea Sobecki. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Lee; her children, Shannon Scheib, Jenna Kellar, Lynnea Padgett, Micheal Lee; brother, David Sobecki; eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at Smyrna United Methodist Church on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will begin at 1:00pm with Reverend Troy White officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
