Linda Louise Carroll Rakestraw passed away on July 6, while holding the hand of her husband of 57 years. She was born on March 5, 1947 to the late Evelyn and Roy Carroll. Linda loved her family and enjoyed time spent with her Grandsons most of all. She enjoyed traveling, reading, word find puzzles, shopping and watch Hallmark Movies. Linda took care of everyone she loved including her only daughter and son in law, her two grandsons, nieces, nephews, her brother and sister, her own parents and countless friends and relatives over the years, she was a faithful members of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs and Doss Memorial Baptist Church before that. She was saved by God's grace at 9 years old and spent her life demonstrating the love of Jesus to others. She wanted nothing more than to know her friends and family knew the Lord as their savior as well.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Pansy Shead; her Brother Wayne Carroll and her nephew, Brad Shead. She is survived by her husband Tommy Rakestraw; her daughter and son in law, Monica and Andy Tanner; her two grandsons, Cole and Lee Tanner; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rakestraw will immediately follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Alan Davis officiating. Interment will be at Powder Springs Cemetery.
