Lionel Warren, age 90, of Powder Springs, passed away on May 29, 2010. He was born on April 29, 1920, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Noah and Jerome Warren, and was preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years, Georgia Warren. Mr. Warren was veteran of the United States Air Force and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 4 years, Mary Hollis Steely Warren; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen & Elizabeth Warren of Powder Springs, and John & Lynda Steely of Dallas; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri & Edwin Colvin of Snellville, and Judy & Ron King of Douglasville; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Marvin Frady and Reverend Rodney Carson officiating. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 31, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
