Lois E. (Swafford) Allen

November 14, 1930 — January 3, 2023

Lois "Granny" Allen of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was born on November 14, 1930, a daughter of the late Eugene and Ethel Thomas Swafford in Marshall, NC.

Lois was a founding member of Full Life Church in Villa Rica, GA. She was known as "Granny" to everyone. Lois has left a legacy of quilts through many family members and friends. She loved Southern Gospel music, the mountains and babies.

In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leon Allen; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Earl Allen (Glenda) and Wendell Allen (Joan); two daughters, June Hightower (Johnny) and Teresa Harper; three sisters, Irene Brooks, Ann Blankinship and Ethel Mae Bailey; 14 grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 05, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service for Lois will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Johnny Hightower officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
