Lora “Ann” Dodd, age 80, of Hiram, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was born on February 10, 1932, in Stilesboro, GA, to the late John & Mattie Motes, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Rayford and Donald Motes, and sisters, Floy Morgan and Margie Shiflet. Mrs. Dodd loved flowers, mountains and being with family. She retired as a nurses aide from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Survivors include, her husband of 46 years, Douglas Dodd, of Hiram; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Dodd of Dallas, and Mike & Debra Ann Dodd of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Kay & Don Hardage of Dallas; sister, Frances Gribble of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Christie Hunter of Cave Springs, GA, Joe Dodd of Dallas, GA, Maddie Dodd of Austin, TX, Todd Atkins of Dallas, GA, Mandy Dougherty of Douglasville, Brent Dougherty of Moultrie, GA, and Robbie Hardage of Dayton, OH; and ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Charles Garrett and Reverend Royce Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial gardens. Joe Dodd, Todd Atkins, Brent Dougherty, Alex Dodd, James Dodd and Jim Carroll will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 2 p.m. until the service time.
