Loran Lee Crowe

Loran Lee Crowe, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home, where he always loved to be on February 4, 2023. He was born on March 4, 1934, to the late Edgar and Amy Crowe. Loran worked at General Motors for 43 years. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and working on cars which led him to have a shop of his own. Loran taught his family everything he knew so they could take care of their own car maintenance. He was a song leader for many years for Dallas Church of Christ, the church closed and then he became a great member of West Metro Church of Christ. He loved serving his Lord and Savior all throughout his life. Loran's main focus was his family. He strived to provide for and mentor them. He put his family first always and his greatest accomplishment was taking care of everyone. Loran was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Loran is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Townley, and his siblings, Wendell Crowe Sr., JoAnn Blount, Dorothy Wingate, Oran Crowe, and Marvin Crowe, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marilyn Estelle Crowe; his daughters, Diana Cordova, Denise (James) Piper, Lorie Friend; his son-in-law, Ray Townley; five grandchildren, Susan Davis, Rachel Piper, Matthew (Kelly) Friend, Christopher (Marissa) Friend, Alex (Alexandria) Cordova; four great-grandchildren, Demetrius (Jennifer) Smith (caregivers for the last four years), Jenna Friend, Maddox Friend, Kallista Cordova; two great-great grandchildren, Cheyenne Smith, Owen Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00.p.m. Funeral Services for Mr. Crowe will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Gray officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations towards the Alzheimer's Association.
