It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lorene Smith Tyson, who departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 27, 1943, in Piedmont, Alabama, Lorene was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.
Lorene spent her years as a dedicated homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was married to her devoted husband, Tony Tyson, and was the proud mother of her daughter, Tami Moon. Lorene cherished her time with family, often entertaining loved ones in her home, where laughter and joy filled the air.
As an active member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church, Lorene contributed her time and talents to her community with a gentle spirit. Her hobbies included attending car shows, flower arranging, and enjoying her moments riding her zero-turn lawnmower, which brought her great pleasure.
Lorene is survived by her husband, Tony; her daughter, Tami; her sister, Louise McClure; and her brother, Ted Smith (Joy). She will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and the love she shared with all.
