Lorraine Turner Cochran age 83 of Hiram passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007. Mrs. Cochran was born December 9, 1923, the daughter of the late George R. Turner and Ollie Summerhill Turner. She was preceded in death by husband Mr. John Milton Cochran, Brothers C. Malcolm Turner, Cyril L. Turner, Rhual T. Turner and nephew Randy Turner. Mrs. Cochran retired from the US Department of Agriculture with over 30 years of service as an agent for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Dallas. She enjoyed life and spending quality time with family and had a compassion for helping others.
Survived by Sister Jerri Turner Carruth, Hiram; Nephews, Bill Carruth, Dallas, Ray Turner, Dallas, Phil M. Turner, Hiram, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 2:00Pm from Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Schofield and Judge Ken Vinson officiating. Interment following at Dallas Memory Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers are Ray Turner, Jarrett Turner, Phil Turner, Wade Turner, Kevin Turner, and Neil Turner. Music rendered by Tracy Bonds. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home Monday, August 6, 2007 from 5-7pm. Those desiring may make contributions to The First United Methodist Church 141 E. Memorial Drive Dallas, Ga. 30132.
