Lou Cinda (Brooks) Duke

Lou Cinda (Brooks) Duke passed away on March 8, 2022. She was born on September 1, 1930 in Hiram, Georgia to the late John and Bethie Brooks. She was a lifelong resident of Hiram and graduated from Hiram High School in 1947 and married her sweetheart, Herbert, in 1949. Lou Cinda was employed at Lockheed Martin for over 30 years and she was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Dallas. She enjoyed traveling, writing, and spending time with her family. She loved researching her family's genealogy and taking as many photos as she could when all her loved ones were near. Lou Cinda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Herbert Lee Duke; son, Stephen Duke; great grandson, Timothy Camp; brother, Owen Brooks; sisters, Viola Fincher, Lila Pudlo, and Tommie Thrower. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Bobby) Reaid and Melissa Duke; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Duke will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00pm at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Voyles and Reverend Todd Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Springs.
