Louise Cochran Jenkins, age 91, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The daughter of the late, Johnny Chester Monk & the late, Amy Jane Craton Monk, she was born July 11, 1920, in Dallas, GA. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Talmadge Cochran, second husband, Union Paris Jenkins, and her brothers, Sharon Monk and G. E. “Buddy” Monk. Mrs. Jenkins had worked for Roxie’s Florist as a floral designer and was a member of Narroway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Cochran of Aragon, GA; grandchildren, Chad Cochran of Powder Springs, GA, Cliff Cochran & wife, Polly of Aragon, GA, and Angel Cochran of Rockmart, GA; great-grandchildren, Heather Cochran, Madison Cochran and Christopher Cochran; sisters-in-law, Ruth Monk of Dallas, GA and Sylvia Cochran of Snellville, GA; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 14, 2011, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Christopher Cochran, Terry Monk, Keith Morgan, Larry Yother, Donald Tidwell, Robert Everett Craton, Seth Cates and Steve Cates will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
