Lucille M. Baxter, age 88, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. She was born in Fairmount, GA, September 10, 1924, and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Pearl Mewborn; husbands, Cleborne Long, Sr. and Hubert Baxter; son, Cleborne Long, Jr.; sister, Evelyn Norris; and brothers, Walter, James & Paul Mewborn. Mrs. Baxter was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Donna Long of Rockmart, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Deborah & Don Lewis of Dallas, GA; grandson, Scott Long, Buchanan, GA; step-children, Raymond & Laverne Baxter of Dallas, GA, Billy & Mildred Baxter of Centre, AL, Shelby & Ronnie Kemp of Dallas, GA and Judy & Rocky Williams of Dallas, GA; sisters, Frankie Brown of McDonough, GA, Jean Rutledge of McDonough, GA and Adess Parrish of Dallas, GA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 4:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Ralph Nelson officiating. The interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Clark Funeral Home, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
