Malcolm Claud Prater

Malcolm Claud Prater, age 77 of Dallas, GA passed away at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was retired as a Drywall Finisher and a member of Unity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Jessie and Edna Foy Prater; sisters, Elna Crowe and Melba Prater; brothers, Lewis Prater, Ozell Prater, Valdor Prater, Talmadge Prater and wife, Kathryn Crooke Prater.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Charlyn Prater of Decatur, GA; LeeAnn and Eric Benson of Dallas, GA; sister, Myrtle Vaughn of Huntsville, AL; three granddaughters, Brittany Benson, Brandee Benson and Leah Benson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don Voyles and Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 CST at the Walker Chapel Cemetery 2542 County Road 81, Ft. Payne, AL 35967. The family will receive friends on Monday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
