Marcia Jones

Marcia Lenora Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Marcia was born on November 17, 1941, in Dallas, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Marcia is also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Parks Morgan.

Marcia's legacy lives on through her daughter, Cathy Wills (Trever) , and son, Michael A. Jones, as well as her devoted husband of 65 years, Sam Jones. Marcia cherished her role as a mother and took great pride in providing unwavering support and guidance to her children.

Family was at the center of Marcia's world, and her adoration extended to her adoring granddaughter, Alyssa (Jordan) DeJesus, and grandson, Cody (Sydney) Wills. She found immense joy in watching them grow, following their pursuits, and celebrating their achievements. Marcia loved showering her great-granddaughter, Grady Morgan DeJesus, and great-grandson, Baylor Barkley DeJesus, with endless love, warmth, and affection.

Marcia's dedication extended beyond her family circle, as she co-owned a successful business alongside her beloved husband, Sam. Together, they ran Dallas Laundry and Cleaners for 10 years. She loved their customers and cherished their time and conversations.

Marcia found solace in taking care of her family, nurturing her loved ones with unyielding compassion and grace. Marcia's hospitality knew no bounds, and she was known for being the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation for Marcia will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Dallas City Cemetery with Cody Wills, Jordan DeJesus, Ken Jones, Randy Thackston, David Clark and Jack Clark serving at pallbearers.

The loss of Marcia Lenora Jones is deeply felt by all who knew her. She will be forever cherished and remembered for her immense love, unwavering devotion, and remarkable impact on the lives of those she held dear. In this time of profound loss, may we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with her and be comforted by the knowledge that her legacy will live on through the love and kindness she bestowed upon us all.
