Marcus Keyonne "Chuck" Rachel was born on August 23, 1971, in Rockmart, Georgia to Rogers Rachel and Hattie Lee "Pat" Staples Rachel. He departed his earthly life on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Marcus joined Wesley Chapel AME Church at an early age. He graduated from Paulding County High School in 1990. He was employed by Voestalpine Automotive Components in Cartersville, Georgia.
Marcus had a special love for his nieces and nephews. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs, and he was an avid fisherman. He was a Grill Master on the grill, and he loved himself some Fried Chicken!!!
Marcus is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents: Mr. Willie Allen Rachel, Sr. and Mrs. Agnes Estes Rachel and his maternal grandparents: Mr. Jim Staples and Mrs. Minnie Watson Staples.
In addition to his parents, Marcus's siblings will always cherish his memory as their baby brother. He is survived by his brother, Roderick Barnard Rachel; sisters, Chandrika Volanda Doss (Perry), and Shante Nichole Rachel (JD). A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive him.
Marcus never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
A visitation to gather and celebrate Marcus's life will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel in Hiram, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel in Hiram, Georgia with Rev. Alfred Vaughn eulogizing and Rev. Klenneth Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 3228 Georgia HWY 101, Rockmart, GA 30153.
Pallbearers will be Sherrod Reynolds, Rod Cooper, Kevin Satterwhite, Jonathan Etheridge, Justin Rachel, Antonio Brown and Todd Montgomery. Flowers girls will be Daphne McClendon, Kelley Rachel, Kenisha Milsap, Denise Heard, Dina Groom, Jenae Lane, Lexi Payne, Taylor Moore, and Ashley Campbell.
