Margaret Sue Buttram, age 83, of Dallas, Georgia, formerly of Mableton, Georgia, passed away in the early morning hours of June 18, 2015 at home in Dallas after an extended illness due to a fall. Margaret was born in Centre, Alabama in 1932 to the late Joe Lynn Daniel and Bonzy Ruth Daniel of Lafayette, Georgia. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church of Dallas, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gordon C. Buttram and one sister, Bobbie Jo Loach of Naples, Florida and one brother, Lynn Earl Daniel of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was blessed to be able to spend the last 6 weeks at home, the place she loved the most, in her favorite chair with her beloved kitty. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and arts and crafts were her passion for many years. She loved her church and Pastor Rick Dunn’s sermons. She will be greatly missed by her entire family, but we rest in the knowledge that she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior and is now home with the Lord. We know we will be reunited with her again one day.
She is survived by her oldest sister, Ann Dyer of Trion, Georgia and 5 children, son Rick Buttram and wife Melanie of Hiram, Georgia, daughter Kathy Carey and husband John of Blue Ridge, Georgia, son Phillip Buttram and wife Carol of Seminole, Florida, son Tommy Buttram and companion Julie Goodberry of Dallas, Georgia, and daughter Linda Sheffield and husband Andy of Dallas, Georgia, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
