Margaret Dobbins

Margaret LeCroy Dobbins, age 84, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. She was born September 7, 1927, in Marietta, GA, to the late, Joe & Verdie LeCroy and was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Patrick “Pat” Dobbins. Ms. Dobbins was retired from the Cobb County School System and she was a member of East Cobb United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Tommy Dobbins & wife, Diane of Cedartown, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Diane Gaddis & husband, Paul of Douglasville, GA, Joyce Parker & husband, Rodney of Jasper, GA and Cathy Wall & husband, Richard Martin of Rockmart, GA;
daughter-in-law, Gail Dobbins; brother-in-law, William G. Gantt of Marietta, GA; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 2:00 PM, from East Cobb United Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Alred and Reverend Kim McGarr officiating. (The body will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service time.) Interment will follow in the church cemetery, with Keith Dobbins, Bobby Carter, Billy Carter, Charlie Carter, Kevin Lawrence, Clint Bagwell, Scott Lucero and Rodney Parker serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 8, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
