Marion Williams, age 92, of Dallas, GA, passed away on January 25, 2020 at Heritage Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 15, 1927 in Buena Vista, GA, to her late parents; Norman Redding and Rosalee McClough. Mrs. Williams worked as a homemaker, as well as at the Bus Station Café and later owned Marion Biscuits. She was a faithful member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. Marion was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Williams Sr.
Survivors include her loving children; Bertha Mae (Robert) Grier of Marietta, GA, Michael B. Williams of Dallas, GA, Ruby Edwards of Mableton, GA, Melvin Williams Jr. of Dallas, GA, Peggy Tillard of Dallas, GA, four brothers, three sisters, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Bishop Tommy Williams Sr. officiating. Interment will follow the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
