Marjean S. Cochran, age 72, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010. She was born November 7, 1937, in Paulding County, and was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow W. & Maybell Williams Smith and brother, Homer Doyal Smith. Mrs. Cochran retired from Georgia Power as a custormer service representative. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Dallas.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Wofford Cochran; son & daughter-in-law, Darrell Wayne Cochran & wife, Cindy of Dallas; daughter & son-in-law, Carol Cochran Welch & husband, David of Powder Springs; brother & sister-in-law, Harold Lee Smith & wife, Gail of Hiram; sisters & brothers-in-law, Martha Jo Cole & husband, Charles of Dallas and Glenda Gail Bone & husband, Tiny of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Brady & Samantha Cochran of Dallas, Kayla & Josh Register of Carrollton, Hilere Welch of Powder Springs and Heather Welch of Powder Springs; two nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 11:00 AM, from the First Assembly of God in Dallas, with Pastor Brad Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens with Eric Cole, Mark Bone, Brady Cochran, Josh Register, Nathan Smith and David serving as pallbearers. Jan “Bit” Ast will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
