Marjorie Duffy passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022 surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Gallant, Marjorie was born on May 22, 1937 in West Newton, Massachusetts. Marjorie was a parishioner of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts for 48 years and most recently St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church in Dallas, Georgia. She was a very passionate woman of deep faith. She was a second mom to many of her children's friends and she always made everyone feel welcome. Being a mom was the most important thing to Marjorie, she was extremely proud of it, and to her, it was the best job there was. Marjorie adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Gallant and Mildred Duff; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Souza. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John Duffy Sr.; her son, John Duffy Jr. and his wife Wendy Duffy; her daughter, Margie Souza; and grandchildren, Catherine, Julia, and John.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Duffy will be held at St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Father Adrian officiating. A private interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
